Critique: Nancy Floyd

Nancy Floyd is this year’s APG/HMA Purchase Award winner and has been an exhibiting artist for thirty years. Her work has been exhibited in numerous venues including Solomon Projects, Flux Projects, Atlanta Contemporary, and the California Museum of Photography. Floyd is an Atlanta-based photographer and has been a professor of photography at the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University since 1996. She has received numerous grants and awards, including a 2014 John Gutmann Photography Fellowship Award and a 2014 Society for Photographic Education Future Focus Project Support Grant. Temple University Press published her first book, She’s Got a Gun, in 2008.
