Vesna Pavlovic leads this meeting of Critique Group. Pavlovic is an Associate Professor of Art at Vanderbilt University, where teaches photography and digital media. Her solo shows include the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, Museum of History of Yugoslavia, the Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, and the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. Pavlovic has been featured in group exhibitions in the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, Bucharest Biennale 5, Romania, Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Serbia,  and the Photographers’ Gallery in London. Pavlovic has been awarded grants from the Art Matters Foundation, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and her work is in major collections such as the Phillips Collection and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the Museums of Contemporary Art of Belgrade and Serbia. Her work has been reviewed in Art Forum, Art Papers, Camera Austria, and The Washington Post.
