A sense of place can reference both your physical location, as in, we’re not in Kansas anymore, as well as your location in a perceived trajectory, as in, where are we on the Smith project? For this exhibition, we asked photographic artists to stop and give us a progress report on where we are as a society; what is the state of the landscape we live in, and what is the state of the communities we live within. Forty-four artists explores these questions in this exhibition juried by Do Good Foundation founder Alan Rothschild.

Selected Artists

Fox Theatre V – Mighty Mo

Second Act

Concurrently in the Ted & Gloria Maloof Gallery, APG presents Second Act. Curated by intern Francesca Lowe, this exhibition features artist Myrtie Cope’s interiors of landmark theatres: the Fox in Atlanta and the Tivoli in Chattanooga. Cope’s black & white photographs are rich with the uniquely seductive light that fills these grand architectural beauties. The expansive spaces speak of monumentality and her attention to detail expresses a delicate eloquence that viewers will find mesmerizing.
