Portfolio 2018 juror Sam Barzilay will speak on the works he selected for the exhibition, and, more broadly, contemporary trends in photography. He will be taking questions from the audience after a brief presentation.
Currently serving as Creative Director of United Photo Industries, a New York based art-presenting organization promoting a wider understanding of photography, Sam Barzilay is also the co-founder of Photoville, a photographic gathering that has rapidly become among the largest and best-attended photo festivals in North America. Sam is also one of the founding producers of the T3 Photo Festival, in Tokyo, Japan.
Barzilay holds a Master in PhotoJournalism from the University of Westminster (UK). Over the past decade, he has worked in the global photographic community in pursuit of developing new audiences for photography and devising methods of presentation that further amplify the power of photographic story-telling in support of increased public awareness and social change.
