Gain fresh perspectives into what’s trending in contemporary photography with the Atlanta Photography Group (APG) at ParisPhoto. This field trip is a wonderful way to experience the vibrant, creative, photography culture of Paris, and gain insight into the current trends in collecting and creating fine art photography. With a long history in the origin and creative development of photography, Paris offers a wealth of opportunities. Executive Director, Judith Pishnery is organizing the field trip around ParisPhoto, the premiere photography fair, which hosts 200+ photography galleries, dealers, publishers and events, showing the very best in the photographic arts. In addition to visits to the fair, additional field trips to notable galleries, collections, museums and foundations are being planned. When available, curators and directors will be engaged to provide insight on their exhibitions; visits may include: the Masion Europeenne de la Photographie, the Cartier-Bresson Foundation, and gallery or two.
In addition to seeing fabulous exhibitions, the field trip participants will be able to join Judy on a walk or two thru interesting areas of Paris that not only highlight the historic landmarks, but also have a glimpse at off-the-beaten paths thru the city of lights. Paris provides a host of photographic opportunities throughout the day, in any weather, and truly shines at night. So, bring your camera, and maybe a tripod and plan to not only see some wonderful photography, but make some of your own inspired images.*
