Opening Reception: Push Pin

Join us for the 32nd Annual PUSH-PiN party, where photographers are invited to pin up their best prints at one of our biggest events of the year. Come enjoy a slice of pizza and a beer (provided by Monday Night Brewing). PUSH-PiN will feature 2 judges to select this year’s awardees. This year’s judges are Barbara Griffin, Independent creative director, producer, photo editor and popular APG Critique group leader, and Tony Casadonte, Gallery Director of Lumière and APG board member.

Awards & Prizes

The jurors will choose three winners to receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place prizes. Prize winners will be announced at 8:30pm. You must be present to claim your prize.

1st Place: $100 tuition credit to APG Classes or Workshops + 1 APG Membership + 1 waived exhibition entry fee
2nd Place: $50 tuition credit to APG Classes or Workshops + 1 APG membership
3rd Place: $25 tuition credit to APG Classes or Workshops

People’s Choice Award

Everyone will have the chance to vote for their favorite photos. The top 3 People’s Choice artists will be announced after the jurors’ awards. The artist that receives the most votes by 8pm will win a waived entry fee into a juried APG exhibition, and a $50 tuition credit to an APG Workshop.

Guidelines

  • Free for APG members, entry fee of $10 for Non-members (Click HERE to become a member, or join at the door).

  • Doors open and PUSH-PiNning begins at 6pm

  • Space is available on a first come basis

  • Volunteers allowed to pin-up photos prior to opening

  • Unframed, unmounted prints only

  • Quantity – as many prints as will fit on 24" x 24" space

  • Artists can sell their work - gallery takes 20% commission for any sale APG handles

  • We require two sets of wall labels: One set for the back of your prints, and one set for the wall. Blank labels will be available at registration

  • Buyers can take home prints at time of sale.

Be Prepared

Download wall labels and fill them out in advance to beat the crowd.

Pick up Prints

The exhibition closes on January 25 at 4pm. All prints must be picked up during regular gallery hours: Tuesday – Friday, 12-4pm, January 29 – February 2. Prints not picked up by 2/25 will be discarded.
