Call For Entry: On The Verge

Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is now accepting entries of photographic-based images or projects for our On The Verge exhibition, highlighting beginning and early career photographic artists. This exhibition is open to all artists, 35 or under. Juror Mary Stanley will select 45 photographs to feature in this exhibition. On The Verge will be featured in Atlanta Celebrates Photography Festival Guide and all artworks will be for sale. Selected artists will be responsible for prints, framing and delivery/shipping of images to the APG gallery.

Juror: Mary Stanley

Mary Stanley is an independent curator, art consultant, artist representative and collector. Mary Stanley Studio works with artists, collectors, curators, museums, galleries and nonprofit institutions to enhance the cultural and creative climate in Atlanta and beyond. Stanley is a juror for Photoville Fence, Critical Mass, ACP, and portfolio reviewer for GA State Univ, SCAD, Lamar Dodd School of Art at UGA and others since starting her business in 2004. She founded Young Collectors Club in 2006 and continues to provide educational programming and consultation for collectors throughout the US.

Deadline to enter: July 18
Notifications: July 24
Delivery Deadline: August 17
Exhibition Dates: August 24 – October 5, 2019

First: Purchase Entry Fee

Early Entry: May 23 – June 16, 2019
3 works: $30 or 6 works: $45
Regular Entry: June 17–30, 2019
3 works: $35 or 6 works: $50
Late Entry: July 1–18, 2019
3 works: $40 or 6 works: $55

Second: Prepare Text File and Images

Export images as .jpg. Resize to 2100 px on the longest side.
Rename files to the titles of each work exactly as you wish it to appear (example: My Great Photo.jpg) Your name will be automatically prepended to the file upon upload.
Create a text file with your Personal Info (name, email, phone, website/social media), Artist Statement (500 words max), Bio (250 words max), and Image list (in this order: Title, Year piece was created , Print/Image Size (H x W), estimated Framed Size (H x W) Medium (archival pigment print, inkjet print, silver gelatin, cyanotype, etc), and save this file as a Word doc or PDF.
Once you have paid the Entry Fee and uploaded your Text File and Images, you will receive confirmation emails from APG and Dropbox.
