Workshop: Exhibition 101
APG’s Workshops are designed to provide photographic artists with the essential knowledge and tools to succeed in their professional and creative practices. This crash course, a part of our Exhibit Wise series, gives you all the basic information you need to know as a professional artist including the must-haves for presenting and promoting your work as well as ideas on pricing, framing and shipping work.

Time: 10am - 2:30pm (30 minute lunch break included)
Materials: pen, paper, and laptop (any materials preferred for note-taking)

Workshop: Big River Clamshell Box Building
APG presents a one-day Clamshell Box-building workshop with instructor Andrew Huot from Big River Bindery. A Clamshell Box is an ideal way to present books, prints, and photographs. Constructed of book board and covered with cloth and paper, this box contains two trays that lay flat to present as well as protect your artwork. These boxes can be constructed to fit any format and allows for variations to change the look of the book. At this workshop, you will construct at 8 x 10 inch box to house your photographs.

Critique: Michael Reese
Michael Reese is an Atlanta based photographer and conceptual artist working in themes related to family history, identity and metaphorical flight. Recent notable exhibits include Amalgam, the AGG Private collection in Atlanta GA, and the Atlanta Jazz Festival, 40 Years, Arnika Dawkins Gallery. A Force Proportional To Their Masses is a permanent installation honoring African Americans in aviation past, present and future at The Fulton County Aviation Community Cultural Center in Atlanta, GA.
